Not automatically, but Australia’s Tranche 2 AML/CTF reforms mean many accounting and bookkeeping firms will need to check whether they are in scope from 1 July 2026.
If your firm provides designated services, such as company or trust setup, restructuring support, registered office services, managing client funds or assisting with business transfers, you may need to enrol with AUSTRAC and complete customer due diligence before providing those services.

Yes, normally Bookkeepers and Accountants will use 2Shakes to replace paper or highly manual engagement letter, authority form signing (STP, TPAR etc.) and in person identity checks.
While you can use 2Shakes to just do AML CDD, or just do ID checks, or just do authority letters the same charges will apply. Contact Support for more information.
